What's a fashion film?

A fashion film is a video artwork inspired by fashion. They're normally short films, with a strongly artistic purpose, using photography, lighting and treatment techniques similar to those of the fashion photography art scene.

Most fashion industry brands are using fashion films to promote themselves. For example, some of the most inspiring perfume television ads could be considered fashion films.

Videos that are not considered fashion films:

• Model video books
• Video montages in the form of photo slideshows
• Making of videos of fashion photo shoots
• Actor videobooks
