It is our mission to shine a spotlight on the best creative talent in the world, whether they’re unknown prodigies or seasoned multi-talented celebrities.
Nephilim Magazine is an independent publication, featuring the best in beauty, fashion, art from around the world. Some content is produced in-house while most is contributed by brilliant photographers, artists, and writers.
Unlike so many other beauty and art magazines, we don’t limit what we feature to mainstream or alternative genres. We feature both. We’ve published photos and art featuring high-end fashion brands, classic multi-cultural couture, cybergoth, punk, cosplay, surreal concepts, and experimental styles you’ve never seen before. As the Vulcans say, “Diversity in infinite combinations”.
While we do produce some in-house content for publication, most is contributed by brilliantly creative teams from all over the world, in exchange for their skills being seen by our massive network of 82,000+ followers. Since our launch in late 2017, we have published the work of talent from the Americas, Scotland, Israel, Russia, The Africas, China, Australia, and beyond, and we’re only just beginning. We will never reject submissions due to age, ethnic background, sexual orientation, cultural background, social class, faith, or nation of origin. All are welcome.
In the past, we have featured amazing actors, such as, actress and singer, Lea DeLaria, best known as the butch inmate, “Big Boo”, in Orange is the New Black, Japanese-Canadian actor, Peter Shinkoda, best known as the near-immortal ninja, Nobu, in Marvel’s Daredevil, and Keith Szarabajka, best known as the eccentric prophet, Leonardo, in Supernatural. We have also featured high-profile creative talent such as Andy Park, the Director of Visual Development for Marvel Studios, mixed-genre alternative model, Dani Divine, and artistic photographer Flex Dreams, who often collaborates with highly creative high-end photo editor, Big Bad Red. However, we mainly aim to feature the work of brilliant virtual unknowns and help them get the world-wide exposure they deserve.
Nephilim Magazine was founded in late 2017 by creative freelancer, Amelia Wysocki, who is assisted by Aelise Davis, who recently shut down her own publication, Obscurae Magazine, after a very successful run, in order to focus on bigger and better things in her life and career. We are also assisted by a dedicated team of volunteers from all over the world.
While we maintain an active social media feed across multiple platforms, we also publish intricately designed issues on a bi-monthly basis which are published by MagCloud.
